Government

Founded:
Founded on April 22, 1833 as a General Law Township, West Bloomfield became a Charter Township, giving elected officials the authority to levy up to 5 mills, on April 1, 1982. Every four years, voters elect a Supervisor, Clerk and Treasurer, along with four trustees, to oversee township business. The Supervisor, Clerk and Treasurer manage day-to-day operations.
